Sash lock

by Mark Rowe

Clarke Instruments among the exhibitors at the Counter Terror Expo has launched a new sash lock product, the Type 922. Machined from brass, the Type 922 has an 8mm diameter locking pin, designed to withstand 10KN of force. It is made for a precision fit and manufactured to stand the test of time.

Designed and manufactured in the UK to suit mortise sash locks, the 922 provides free uninterrupted access on the latch and the convenience to mechanically over lock at night which aids out of hours access on the access control system. The 922 according to the manufacturers meets the often conflicting requirements of free day time access for visitors with extra security measures for out of hours, or when few people remain in the building.

The 920 Sash lock Release is a single mechanical lock, allowing free access or increased security through the control of access when the deadlock is engaged with the release. Other bespoke faceplates are available to order.

Clarke Instruments Technical Director, Mike Keady, said: “We are constantly looking to innovate and develop new products to suit the needs of our customers and the new 922 is a significant step towards doing this. It suits a range of locks from well-known brands and manufacturers, without the need to compromise on security or peace of mind.”
