MEA website

by Mark Rowe

The door hardware and access control product company, Allegion, is launching its new Middle East and Africa website, www.allegion.com/mea.

The security and safety product firm says its new website has been designed with customers in mind, with information for specifying and selecting door hardware for building requirements.

Allegion adds it’s worked on prestigious projects such as ‘The Heart of Doha’ project, dubbed as ‘the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project’. The new website provides products designed to work together and, as a result, offering a suite of building solutions.

The site contains features for architects, specifiers, facilities managers, installers and contractors; a hardware specification service and product details, guides to product standards and practical installation videos.

For those who are often working on site, such as installers and contractors, Allegion’s website is built to adapt to device sizes, while navigation to important information areas is accessible from the home page.

Jeff Bennett, commercial leader for Middle East, Africa and Turkey, said: “The Middle East & African countries are incredibly important regions for Allegion. They are growing rapidly and Allegion has extensive existing portfolios that are required for renovation or refurbishing as well as new build.
“To help our customers, we built this website that’s dedicated to ensuring they can be well-informed about the safety and security products they need, whether it is immediately or for a future project. The site also helps our customers avoid confusion around legal codes and standards, and they get the best quality hardware that will keep their buildings and estates safe, secure and future-proofed.”

The two standards that Middle Eastern and African buildings abide by are EN (European) and ANSI (American). This new site has dedicated information areas on both these standards and features its brands and products that comply with these codes.

ANSI-standard brands featured include LCN closers; Ives door furniture; Von Duprin panic exit hardware; Schlage locks, cylinders and biometrics. EN-standard brands include Briton and CISA door hardware solutions, as well as SimonsVoss access control systems and Normbau door furniture.
