IP masthead receiver update

by Mark Rowe

Luminite Electronics have recently updated their Genesis IP Masthead Receiver (LGIPMT434) to enable it to work intelligently with the new remote keypad (LGKSQ), pictured, to arm and dis-arm Genesis detectors or IR beams.

A user can now arm or disarm a security system remotely over the internet or with the wireless keypad. Up to eight PIN numbers can be stored on the receiver for the keypads and a name can be assigned to each PIN (up to 16 characters) meaning that the end user can be alerted if the system is armed or disarmed, and by whom. PIN numbers can be added or deleted remotely.

Each pasive infra-red detector can be individually enabled or disabled via the receiver remotely over the internet. Tamper alerts are not affected. Partial arming or disarming of the system is possible by selecting unit numbers to be affected by this function.

Up to 32 keypads (LGKSQ) can be linked to one masthead receiver (LGIPMT434). The keypad has anti tamper and low battery alert. The north London firm adds that the new keypad has an increased capacity for 250,000 number combinations.
