Area sales manager

by Mark Rowe

Mark Wall has joined Dahua UK and Ireland as Area Sales Manager, covering the Midlands and Wales.

Mark, pictured, has been in the electronic security industry for more than 25 years, starting as an engineer in the family installation business before working in a commercial capacity for CCTV and security distributors.

Mark said: “Whatever sector of security I’ve worked in, it’s always been my aim to provide customers with the ideal solution for their requirements. That task has just become easier since Dahua has one of the widest portfolios in the industry and is emerging as an international market leader.”

Mark’s already talking to distributors about ANPR and analytics, an area in which he believes Dahua will quickly become market leaders. He embraces IP CCTV as future-proof and scalable, but sees the continuing benefits of Dahua’s high-definition analogue and hybrid offerings.

Mark is a serious cyclist who puts in a daily training ride of 50 miles. In September, he completed a coast-to-coast bike ride across England, covering 140 miles in a day. He and other riders dipped their rear wheels in the Irish Sea and their front wheels in the North Sea at Tynemouth Castle. His route included the Lake District and a 580-metre climb in the North Pennines.

Denny Wang, Sales Director at Dahua UK, said: “Recruiting sales staff of Mark’s calibre is part of Dahua’s ongoing strategy in the UK. We know that exceptional people marketing a premium brand will not only increase our market share but also reinforce our reputation as a complete solutions provider. The fact that Mark began his career as an engineer means he will be of great value on major projects, where he will be able to understand on-site installation challenges and offer our customers the right surveillance solutions.”
