Integrated Systems

Tyco, ASSA ABLOY partner

by Mark Rowe

The multi-national Tyco has partnered with ASSA ABLOY Access Control, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, on Software House’s C•CURE 9000 security and event management system.

ASSA ABLOY Access Control’s latest Aperio wireless cylinders, PINpad escutcheon and L100 – a wireless security lock, have all been integrated into the latest C.Cure access control system.

Aperio is designed to upgrade mechanically locked doors and wirelessly connect them online and to new or existing access control systems. With minimal it’s claimed modification to doors and premises, Aperio offers a security upgrade, according to ASSA ABLOY.

Rafael Schrijvers, Product Marketing Manager for EMEA at Tyco Security Products, said: “Our C•CURE 9000 system is one of the industry’s most powerful and flexible security management systems, allowing our customers to monitor events and manage personnel.
Aperio is wireless; therefore avoids invasive cabling, allowing quick and easy installation that will not be intrusive, ideal for installation listed buildings and other heritage projects.
We have already deployed the solution across a number of healthcare and education projects and are looking to potentially integrate with more Aperio in the future.”

And Richard Hall, Technical Sales Support Manager at Access Control, said: “The integration of Aperio wireless technology brings added flexibility to the C•CURE 9000 system, allowing Tyco to extend wireless capability to any new or existing access control system, without breaking the bank.” Visit www.assaasbloy.com/aperio.
