Software with GPS tracking

by Mark Rowe

HawkSight Software has augmented the latest version of its security risk management software with GPS tracking. Working with Sicuro Group, HawkSight Software has been configured to enable the embedding of live tracking data for personnel, vehicles, assets and cargo.

HawkSight describes the live data feed from a range of providers as a critical extension. HawkSight Software powered by Esri now provides a live data interface for those actively managing the security risk of critical assets. In the case of the Sicuro Tracking Feed, clients can deploy the Sicuro Tracker App to provide phone- or tablet-based personnel tracking.

The feed from that application will appear on the HawkSight dashboard in real-time providing oversight of mobile assets and, in particular, the personnel associated with a project. In time it will also incorporate a direct link to Sicuro’s tracking software dashboard.

Sicuro says that its solutions offer security risk managers: visibility of individuals’ location and status from any mobile device, including the proximity among team members, other premises and areas of interest; two-way communication via personal trackers to aid contingency and strategic plans; and notifications of safe arrivals or panic issues.

Paul Mercer, Managing Director of HawkSight SRM said: “Providing our clients with the most comprehensive aggregation of security-relevant tracking data is a key priority. HawkSight Software provides a mapping interface which gives an overview of static assets such as offices, so it seemed obvious to extend that ability to mobile assets such as people and cargo.

“Security of personnel is a critical factor in managing the security risk of any project and this interface means our clients can view projects and associated personnel in the round. Sicuro’s personal tracking solutions not only provide better visibility and oversight for operational teams, they also underpin better communication between team members and provide a duty of care for personnel – they were a natural choice for us to work with.”

HawkSight SRM adds that it’s in discussion with a number of data feed providers so that clients can incorporate intelligence data feeds to manage security risks to personnel, critical assets, transportation and cargo.
