Integrated Systems

Maxxess at Intersec

by Mark Rowe

In Dubai at the Intersec 2016 exhibition, Maxxess is unveiling a suite of new functions to its eFusion and ambit security systems.

Maxxess reports seeing rising demand to close the security gaps left by disparate legacy systems. The developers say eFusion achieves this via a modular platform that gives customers the flexibility to scale as their business grows. At the show Maxxess will be demonstrating eFusion integration with a range of leading integrators, including Redvision, Sony and Wavestore.

eFusion open software supports more than 50 off-the-shelf integrations, providing integration of surveillance, access control, fire and intruder systems from security vendors with their back office operations, with less cost and complexity than conventional Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) it is claimed.

Maxxess will also show new functionality within ambit, its cloud-based mobile workforce management system for users to manage communication across dispersed teams. It is claimed to offer multiple cost and efficiency benefits to facilities managers, security personnel and teams working across large estates including oil and gas fields, campuses, industry infrastructure and construction sites.

For organisations that want to lock their facilities down in the event of an incident or where traditional access methods are expensive or infeasible, ambit supports secure communication while giving responders information to ensure a response. According to the product firm, ambit’s versatility can overcome multiple mobility challenges, such as reducing the risk of cyber threats, allowing security staff to run spot checks to verify that the right personnel are where they should be and to enable mustering in an emergency.

Lee Copland, pictured, Maxxess Managing Director EMEA, said: “The Middle East is a very tech savvy region where the heightened security risks call for an extremely fast turnaround on proposals and project implementation. Our modular and off-the-shelf integrations with eFusion and the cloud-based fast deployment of ambit are allowing us to meet this demand. Building a level of trust and good relationships are vitally important when doing business in the Middle East. We have continued to invest heavily in eFusion and ambit product development plus the additional professional services to support our systems integrators. Our customers – many of them leading global brands – therefore know they can trust us to consistently deliver high quality solutions quickly and efficiently. Having exhibited at Intersec for several years, we always find it a great platform to introduce new technologies and products. It is the perfect place to strengthen relationships and we look forward to meeting friends old and new at this year’s event.”
