Hikvision in access integration

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision, the Chinese video surveillance product company, has announced the integration of its network cameras and NVRs (network video recorders) with the Net2 access control product from Paxton, the UK electronic IP access control and door entry product firm.

This allows for the configuration of Hikvision NVRs and camera detection with the Net2. Hikvision cameras can be associated to individual doors, enabling users to monitor video linked with access events. Building users can act on real-time and post-events.

Keen Yao, International Marketing Director at Hikvision, said: “The integration provides a value-added solution to Hikvision and Paxton customers. It will help identify and address suspicious activities, making security system management simple and more time-efficient.”

And Gareth O’Hara, Paxton’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “At Paxton, we encourage original thought. We develop innovative solutions that represent the company’s ethos of simplicity and quality, whilst answering the needs of the security market. It’s a pleasure to be working with Hikvision, a company who place as much importance on product innovation and diversification. We hope the solution will be an attractive proposition for a wide range of installers.”
