With GDPR, privacy and cybersecurity the Canadian firm says that with the newly launched Genetec Trust Center, it has created a central repository of educational materials focused on cybersecurity, privacy, and other Security of Security topics to help systems integrators and customers understand best practices.
Genetec will be showing solutions for data privacy and to help support compliance ahead of EU GDPR. The GDPR-ready Privacy Protector feature in Security Center is the only unified security platform that holds the European Privacy Seal, the developers say.
New features of the management software Security Center (5.7) consist of privacy protection for individuals to help users meet new GDPR regulations as well as new cybersecurity features, including a reporting feature that automatically alerts system administrators to outdated camera firmware.
Genetec Mission Control, is a decision and event management software that provides organisations with situational intelligence, visualisation, and incident management. It allows security personnel to make decisions when faced with routine tasks or unanticipated situations by ensuring a timely flow of information.
Genetec will show industry specific applications that help security understand the everyday with Traffic Sense and Airport Sense . Both are designed to provide insights and intelligence to meet the needs of cities and airports, helping maintain physical security, optimised traffic flow, and organizational efficiency.
Paul Dodds, UK and Ireland Country Manager at Genetec, said: “The lines between security and operations continue to blur, and organisations are increasingly looking for a better understanding of their environments and operations, as well as greater efficiencies. Security systems, sensors and data are invaluable sources of information that until now have been largely underutilised. Genetec solutions consolidate this information and convert unstructured data into actionable insight so organisations make data-driven decisions.”
