Lodge Service are offering former police officers as support staff to police forces and local and national Government departments. Assignments the contractor says can range from crime investigation and fraud audits, to data recovery and intelligence analysis.
The service is managed by former police officers and is co-ordinated through the Lodge Services intelligence centre in Redditch, Worcestershire, with a former Deputy Chief Constable on Lodge Service’s advisory board.
Simon Chapman, managing director of Lodge Service, says: “It’s recognised by the police and Government that accredited private sector sources can provide them with cost effective support at times of peak demand on resources. Lodge offers an alternative source of supplier to extend their choice, as a technology-based provider of consultancy services in specialist areas of investigation and data services.”
Lodge Service is the largest independent family-owned business in the sector says Simon Chapman, with £22m turnover and nearly 800 staff, and a database of registered contract staff. There are local offices or franchise operations in eight other countries.
Specialist areas of support include: crime investigation; fraud audits and Investigation; community policing; crime and intelligence analysis; Criminal Justice support; police training; Scene of Crime Officers; and data recovery.
