Wrexham-based Parallel Security has gained ISO 9001, the quality management accreditation. This follows the company’s success in gaining the UK sector regulator Security Industry Authority’s Approved Contractor Status (ACS).
Parallel Security was set up by Managing Director Francis Johnson, pictured, in 2014 and employs over 100 full and part-time staff. The firm provides security services for some of the UK’s highest profile events as well as static security for the likes of construction sites and schools, besides door security and cleaning services. During 2019, the company increased the number of events and festivals it worked with from a handful to over 50.
Francis, 31, said: “We have worked extremely hard to ensure that we have got the best possible quality management systems in place. To achieve ISO 9001 and the SIA Approved Contractor Status in the space of a few weeks is a considerable achievement.
“We are growing rapidly and having the best possible policies and procedures in place are essential if we are to continue to meet our business objectives over the next couple of years.”
Among the company’s plans are to launch its own training division to train security personnel in best practice as well as adding to its customers in Europe and internationally. The Welsh Government has included Parallel on its Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP) aimed at helping some of the country’s most promising businesses achieve their maximum potential.
