Guard firm’s rostering

by Mark Rowe

Integrity Security Group has selected SmartTask for its staff rostering, proof of attendance and control room management software. The employee scheduling and mobile workforce management product will initially be used across 150 officers, before being rolled across its wider security services operation.

For Integrity, SmartTask, replacing an outdated time and attendance system, will monitor the whereabouts and welfare of staff. The security officers will now book on and off of shifts or register hourly check calls using the MySmartTask app or by dialling into call taking software from a designated phone number. Key holding, alarm response and mobile patrol officers will soon be able to scan a RFID tag located at each customer location using a SmartTask-enabled smartphone to register attendance.

West Midlands-based Integrity will use SmartTask’s intelligent rostering to streamline internal planning processes, with the aim of reducing the admin associated with preparing work schedules. Rosters will be sent automatically to MySmartTask or a preferred email address, so staff can confirm availability at the click of a button. SmartTask will also be integrated with the company’s back-office accounting, so accurate working hours can be automatically transferred and simplify payroll and invoicing.

SmartTask will also support the launch of a dedicated, out-of-hours control room. Integrity will use the software’s interactive dashboard to provide a live view of all scheduled shifts and expected or missed check calls. Hence office-based controllers will be able to track the attendance and status of vulnerable static and mobile personnel.

James Chittil, General Manager at Integrity Security Group, said: “SmartTask is so simple to use while providing impressive functionality that is helping us better manage and protect our staff. The team at SmartTask has been incredibly helpful and responsive, which means we have been able to create a workforce management solution that is tailored to our precise needs and easily scalable to meet our future requirements.”

Paul Ridden, CEO of SmartTask said: “We are working closely with a growing number of security businesses to not only support their immediate requirements, but also develop new functionality that will help overcome other current and future challenges. It has been designed by industry experts to encapsulate security best practice, making it the ideal tool to improve operational control, enhance customer satisfaction, and support duty of care to staff.”
