Free networking event

The security contractor STM Group, with the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), is hosting a conference and networking event on Thursday, February 24, at the Informa Building, Atrium at 240 Blackfriars Road, London from 3.30pm to 6pm.

The guest speakers include: Victor Ubogu (Bath and England rugby union player), David Scott (MD Skills for Security, who will be talking about apprenticeships), Edwyn van Rooyen (businessman and founder of a Wellbeing Platform ‘T-Cup’).

Organisers say that the afternoon is aimed at ‘unlocking the potential’ in the younger generations; providing opportunities and insights to future leaders. Hence STM, an ACS Pacesetters guarding company, have invited a number of apprentices, school pupils and anyone else who is eager to expand their knowledge and skillsets.

The confirmed speakers so far:

Victor Ubogu, former Bath and England rugby union player;
Pauline Norstrom, CEO and Founder of Anekanta Consulting, former Chair of BSIA;
David Scott, MD Skills for Security talking about apprenticeships;
Paul Jacomb – CEO of STM Group and ex Foreign & Commonwealth Office Advisor;
Edward Lewis, founder of ‘T-Cup’; and
Speakers from 6point6 to talk about Cyber Security.
