Amadeus contract

The London-based guarding contractor Charter Security has been appointed by Amadeus to provide security at its UK head office at Heathrow. The three-year contract includes providing security officers, access control, CCTV, concierge and facilities management support.
Amadeus offers travel and tourism booking systems for airlines, cars, hotels and travel agencies. The company has offices in more than 70 countries and employs over 10,000.

Robert Hanratty, Operations Director for Charter Security said: “We are all aware of the importance of security in all aspects of the travel industry. Being selected by Amadeus for the security at their Heathrow office is a powerful endorsement of Charter’s capability.”

Its services include manned guarding, alarm response, key holding, concierge, front of house, and remote monitoring from its own 24-hour control room.

The firm has worked on the Waterloo Passenger Terminal, the Eurotunnel project from London to Ashford, and most recently Blackfriars regeneration by Balfour Beatty. The company has provided security across high-profile sites including The Cutty Sark and the Aquatic Centre at the Olympic Park. The company says that it’s working increasingly with clients drawn from corporate and commercial sectors in the City of London and local authorities.
