Life Tech event

by Mark Rowe

The manufacturer of life safety products Hochiki Europe has delivered the first in a series of ‘Life Tech’ events, delivered with its systems partners. The first, hosted by Middlesbrough-based installer Tees Fire Systems, was held within the Legends Lounge at the Riverside Stadium, home to Middlesbrough Football Club. The day showcased the latest life safety products from the manufacturer and outlined best practice in their use.

The session was the first of four planned events which bring together consultants, specifiers, end-users and building owners, to better understand the latest from Hochiki Europe. Seminars, workshops and Q&A sessions focused on case studies and real-life scenarios. Product demonstrations at the event included Hochiki’s L@titude panel, a fire alarm control and indication product, and FIREscape+, the company’s combined detection and emergency lighting. The audience were also given an insight into the various applications and use of Hochiki’s new ACD sensor, now fully supported by L@titude.

UK Sales Manager, Mark Smith said: “It’s important that all our clients across the spectrum, from specifiers to end users, have access to the latest information and developments from within the industry. Even though projects age, life safety protection cannot faulter. That is why we place so much emphasis on maintaining strong relationships with our customers so we can continue to provide security and protection throughout the lifetime of a building.

“Life Tech is the perfect platform for our systems partners and product users to keep their knowledge up to date while having the chance to network with other industry professionals.”

Kevin Hynes, managing director at Tees Fire, added: “As Hochiki Europe’s first ever systems partner, we’ve worked closely together throughout the years and this event was the perfect way to expand our partnership. The event was a resounding success and each of our customers found the day extremely valuable as they were able to see for themselves how innovative life safety systems can transform a project in terms of cost-savings, connectivity and adaptability. We’re looking forward to hosting similar events in the future to continue life safety education for all our customers.”

This series is held with members of its exclusive Systems Partner network. To find out how to become a partner, visit www.hochikieurope.com/partners.
