Uniview in return to IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

The network video surveillance product company Uniview attended IFSEC 2015 in London. As the Chinese number three and world’s number 12 video surveillance manufacturer, Uniview stepped into the international market in 2014. After a year’s development and exploration, Uniview brought its products to global visitors at IFSEC.

At the show, Uniview dismantled cameras and network recorder to show the precise designs inside: IR anti-reflection glass used in PTZ dome and bullet cameras can increase IR transmittance by 7pc, the company said. Double-crystal IR LEDs embedded inside IPC212x series bullet and IPC323x series fixed dome can produce better images while using only two infra-red LEDs, according to the firm. Uniview selected and chose third generation car-grade LEDs, for the IR light to reach up to 30m. A sealed water-proof design used in IPC323x series fixed domes gives the product IP66 protection. Uniview also showed its industrial-level PCB board in its network recorders.

Since Uniview entered into the international market, it has been endeavouring to be more open and standardised. In 2015, Uniview became one of 31 ONVIF full members. Uniview adds that it’s also making efforts to integrate products. Now, Uniview’s products are compatible with third party softwares.

Uniview says that it invests more than 20pc of annual sales into R&D; and more than half of its employees are in R&D. At IFSEC, Uniview showed 4K and H.265 in both cameras and NVRs, as well as starlight and vari-focal laser IR technologies.

Small and medium business users can add IP camera into an NVR by scanning the camera’s QR code. The solution also support plug and play and cloud upgrading. Visit www.uniview.com/en.
