Panomera on tour

by Mark Rowe

In June, the CCTV manfuacturer Dallmeier is taking its patented multifocal sensor product Panomera around Britain on its company truck.

The product is in use at airports, railway stations, stadiums, shopping centres and public areas. The makers say that the camera is capable of providing surveillance of vast areas in hitherto unimaginable resolution, and all from a single installation point, and enables a range of analytics possibilities.

With Panomera®, functions such as panning and zooming, which are only possible in live mode with conventional PTZ cameras, are available also in the recordings (in forward and backward playback), since the overall image was permanently recorded – no matter which area the CCTV staff focused on live.

Control and operation of a Panomera® system is done with the Panomera Viewer or the Dallmeier management system SeMSy, or with any management software that supports ONVIF.

Roadshow visitors can see the truck between 10am and 4pm on its days in the UK:

10.06.2013: Glasgow – Hampden Park
12.06.2013: Liverpool – Goodison Park
14.06.2013: Bristol – Ashton Gate Stadium
17.06.2013: London – Wembley Stadium
