Outdoor recording with 4TB of video storage

BCDVideo, the US-based manufacturer of IP video recording and access control products, has released their newest Rigid Series.

It’s designed for outdoor recording in any area, the makers say. This new fan-less technology holds up to 4TB of video storage and is powered by an Intel Core processor. The Rigid Series includes models that offer powr over Ethernet (PoE), 3G, W-Fi, and GPS connectivity. The units are suitable it is claimed for a wide range of mobile applications and installations at harsh sites.

Tom Larson, BCDVideo’s Director of Sales and Engineering, says: “Integrators have been tasked more and more to provide a solution for the outdoor environment, and not necessarily limited to in-vehicle or harsh climates. Water treatment facilities, power utility facilities, park districts, and even parking lots are in play. What makes our Rigid Series unique is the high-end Intel processor and Microsoft operating system. This enabled us to and validate the product for video applications for all of the major VMS manufacturers, and ensure they work in harmony with our core video recording platform products.”

BCDVideo’s Rigid Series are built to order and include a two-year warranty. The units meet MIL-STD-810G vibration and shock compliance, as well as FCC Class A, and RoHS standards.
