Sensor manufacturer Optex Co. Ltd of Japan has announced a major investment in the 100pc share capital of UK lighting manufacturer Raytec. The firms say that this new partnership allows the two companies to capitalise on many common synergies in sales and technology bringing both sensor and lighting technologies together.
Raytec’s three founding directors, Shaun Cutler, David Lambert and Tony Whiting remain on board and are committed to achieving Raytec’s long term goals. Shaun Cutler says: “The investment by Optex is exciting and very much welcomed by everyone at Raytec. We will continue to operate independently from our UK facility, however we now have access to more resources to better serve our customers and alliance partners across the globe. The two companies share many common goals and firmly believe that by working more closely together we can continue to make a difference to the security industry.”
Raytec and Optex technologies are often partner products in the field and are used together in security installations and critical infrastructure projects across the globe. Now part of the same group, both technology teams will aim to work together in developing and integrating sensor and LED technologies.
