IR bullet camera

by Mark Rowe

The latest addition to the Xvision range is an IR Bullet Camera with Smart IR Nightvision and 120m infra-red range. The XC960BN, pictured, is an IP66 rated device, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and can be mounted to a ceiling or wall with it’s cable managed bracket.

A user can adjust the camera’s numerous settings such as lens, exposure, white balance, backlight, and day-night. This lets you alter each level to the most effective settings for the camera’s site, for quality of picture day or night. ‘Plug and Play’ cabling makes for connection to a compatible DVR or Monitor.

The HD 960H resolution makes it suitable the makers say for commercial or domestic premises where a Super High Resolution image is needed. The Xvision varifocal 5 to 50mm Auto Iris lens gives viewing angles between 6 degrees and 49 degrees. The product has Programmable High Light Suppression and Headlight Compensation enabling car number plate recognition up to a distance of 25m.

This IR camera automatically switches from colour to black and white in low light, for day or night use. Energy efficient Infra Red LEDs make it possible to view as far as 120m in the dark, with a 0.0003 lux low light sensitivity, allowing cleaner images to be seen in complete dark. The Sony 960H CCD sensor with Xvision’s X3K Digital Signalling Processing (DSP) enhance the quality of the colour images, it is claimed while 3D Digital Noise Reduction eliminates grain and image noise.

The XC960BN and Xvision HD 960H range are available nationwide through Y3K distributors including more than 90 branches of WF Senate. Or go to www.y3k.com.
