New from Panasonic is their first outdoor, infrared dome camera. Capable of capturing images in HD and Full HD, Panasonic’s 6 series CCTV cameras offer double the images of real time (60fps), to catch every detail in every type of light. Aimed mainly at casinos, airports and stadia, the series features dual SD recording and works with Panasonic’s remote monitoring and control apps.
Gerard Figols, European Product Manager at Panasonic, said: “The 6 series is set to be our most innovative and reliable suite of CCTV cameras yet. 60 frames per second ensures that nothing will be missed while the camera is rolling. The wide angle infrared LED means the whole area is illuminated clearly. The camera’s face detection capability reduces light saturation on the face, meaning clearer, more reliable images.”
The infrared function works at up to 30 metres the makers say and responds to changing lighting, such as those found at doorways. The series features up to 4 x H.264 simultaneous streaming, so recording quality is not hindered by upload bandwidth, the firm says.
The outdoor vandal proof version is available now, and will be followed shortly by an indoor vandal proof version and standard indoor dome.
