IDIS, VIDEOR in DACH deal

by Mark Rowe

IDIS, the surveillance product manufacturer, and video-security, broadcast and image processing distributor VIDEOR E.Hartig GmbH, have signed a strategic partnership. It sees VIDEOR offering the IDIS Total Solution in the German-speaking markets of Deutschland, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).

VIDEOR decided to extend its video surveillance range with the IDIS Total Solution based on an existing long term partnership with IDIS. In particular, the VIDEOR team were impressed with the DirectIP platform as a solution for installers to upgrade their end user customers from legacy analogue CCTV to high definition (HD) surveillance, without the complexity often associated with many IP systems.

VIDEOR and iDIS are pictured signing the deal at IDIS’ stand at IFSEC 2016 last week.

Speaking at the show, Jürgen Hagenlocher, Managing Director, VIDEOR E.Hartig GmbH, said: “After a long term successful partnership with IDIS on our eneo brand, we decided to extend our relationship with IDIS and complement our IP surveillance offering with the IDIS Total Solution. In particular, DirectIP is an ideal addition to the VIDEOR portfolio of leading security brands. Our experience and deep understanding of the IDIS products and solutions will be an advantage to all our existing and prospective customers and partners. We are extremely proud to be the first and sole IDIS distributor in the DACH region.”

And James Min, General Manager, EMEA Business Development Team at IDIS, added: “We’re particularly excited to announce this partnership with VIDEOR at IFSEC with all the buzz going on around the show. The DACH market and IDIS recognise VIDEOR’s extensive surveillance expertise twinned with a very customer-centric support model. We look forward to our continued relationship and we will work closely with VIDEOR to support DACH installers and integrators from system design and project delivery through to on-going maintenance and support.”
