Hikvision showcase at IFSEC 2016

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision, the supplier of video surveillance products, will showcase at IFSEC International, from June 21 to 23, 2016, at London’s ExCeL. Hikvision will join over 600 exhibitors showcasing over 10,000 products.

Hikvision’s new product line – the PanoVu Series – will be showcased in a real-time, onsite video preview. Designed for large-scale security monitoring applications, the PanoVu cameras combine panoramic cameras with zoom so users can replace multiple cameras with one unit, the makers say. Multiple video streams are stitched together in the camera instead of using software, reducing costs and complexity. The all-in-one design supplies one Ethernet port and one power supply cable for installation and configuration.

Another product line is the Turbo HD 3.0 Solution, which upgrades an analogue system with up to 5 megapixel-resolution, making high-definition surveillance systems possible without replacing existing coaxial cables, the firm says. Engineered with Hikvision’s H.264+ compression, Turbo HD 3.0 technology reduces bitrates by up to 50pc while maintaining transmission quality it is claimed.

Thermal camera

Hikvision will also display its thermal camera for visually-challenging applications. With an imaging module, these cameras capture HD video of moving objects at resolutions up to 640 x 512 pixels, unhindered by darkness or inclement weather according to the company. These cameras feature Auto Gain Control (AGC), Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE) and 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) to enhance image clarity. Temperature-anomaly and fire detection are to prevent fires, hazards, and many other threats to persons and property.

Vertical solutions
Several of Hikvision’s complete solutions for various vertical markets will be shown at IFSEC. Specifically, the Hikvision booth will also feature live displays of its Smart Mobile Solution, demonstrating mobile NVR plus IP Cameras and its Smart Transportation Solution, with a real-time automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology demonstration. Its Smart Retail Solution, with technologies including people counting and heat-mapping, will be available to visitors, plus a Smart Banking Solution.

Hikvision will be at booth E800, in Hall 4.
