Hikvision launch App Store

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision has launched a new App Store. It enables users to update their apps to the latest available versions. The Hikvision App Store, at https://appstore.hikvision.com, gives users access to all the newest improvements to functionality and security as they are brought in by Hikvision’s software engineers.

Hikvision UK & Ireland sales director Gary Harmer said the new App Store provides users with a simple, straightforward way of ensuring they can make the most of their installed applications, with updates delivered automatically to devices.

Harmer said: “The new Hikvision App Store offers Android and iOS versions of our apps, when there is new upgrade version available, users are prompted to choose an automatic upgrade or they can do it manually within the app.

“The simplicity and ease of accessibility of the App Store is about improving the software experience for end users, integrators and installers. We want to make software updates as simple as they are when you update the apps on your mobile phone.”

The apps available include the video management app Hik-Connect, dedicated mobile phone surveillance apps, specialist apps for retail and industrial security, a thermal camera control application, and more.

Apps in the Hikvision App Store are:

•Hik-Connect
•HikCentral Mobile
•HikCentral HD
•HikCentral Master Mobile
•iVMS-4500
•iVMS-5260M Mobile Client
•E-Retail
•E-Industrial
•HiLookVision; and
