Eyeball cameras

by Mark Rowe

The new Concept Pro eyeball cameras, from the West Yorkshire-based distributor Videcon, come with a five-year warranty. The cameras are available in IP and AHD, multi-signal (AHD, CVBS, TVI, CVI) formats. All IP models feature a motorised zoom lens, which enables remote, zoom configuration. All AHD models feature a varifocal lens, for set-up using Videcon’s VLEDTM-TS7 test monitor.

Every model has an infra-red LED array for night-time operation and a 40m illumination range. The AHD and IP Lite ranges are 2MP resolution. IP models also have True wide dynamic range, Power over Ethernet, and ONVIF compatibility, H.264 or H.265 compression and triple video streams as standard. The Professional range adds a 5MP option in AHD models and 4MP or 8MP resolutions in IP models. The products also offer alarm and audio capability, 12VDC, 100mA Power output, MicroSD support and low light functionality.

Jonathan Pratt, Product Manager at Videcon, says: “Eyeball cameras have become one of our most popular, all-in-one cameras. They come in a rugged, metal case for durability and feature a short, 60cm cable for easy concealment in our new, weather-resistant, deep stand-off base. These high-quality, Concept Pro Eyeball cameras also come with an impressive, five-year warranty and are available in white or dark grey, finish options.”
