Appreciation of forum

by msecadm4921

Recently Alan Gardner, pictured right, received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Security Institute’s Director of Standards Garry Evanson. Alan has been tireless in working to establish the new National CCTV Standards Forum which was launched earlier this year, and first featured in the March print issue of Professional Security magazine.

Originally planned as a special interest group within the institute, such was the enthusiasm for a new group in the sector that this is now a strategic group in its own right. Alan’s vision and dedication has encouraged key stakeholders in the sector to sign up, and the group now comprises of representatives from The Security Institute, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), the Association of Train Operating Companies, Public CCTV Managers Association, Association of Security Consultants, Retail, Health and Educational establishments and many others who have first-hand knowledge of CCTV operation and management. Pictured left is institute chairman Mike Bluestone.

The forum is the subject of the next Global MSC Security CCTV conference on Tuesday, November 13, at a new venue, the Queens Hotel in Leeds city centre. To book or for more details emil [email protected]
