Institute adds

by Mark Rowe

The Security Institute has co-opted Lisa Sharkey and Nick Hymans CSyP as Directors of the Main Board with effect from Monday, November 4.

Lisa Sharkey is a partner of Popplestone Allen Solicitors, specialising in licensing and entertainment law. Lisa has particular interest in security (and regulation) due to her professional involvement with the leisure industry, particularly late-night licensing. She will be responsible for legal, governance and risk for the Board.

Nick Hymans CSyP is the Vice President for Corporate Security at Credit Suisse. He has worked with the risk consultancy Control Risks, and the guarding companies ArmorGroup and Group 4Falck after a career in the Army. He is involved in resettlement of armed forces leavers, and with his overseas experience, will provide support to the institute’s International Development. He will also be responsible for the Register of Chartered Security Professionals (CSyP).
