Lone worker specialist Connexion2, developer and manufacturer of the award-winning Identicom, the UK’s most widely-used dedicated lone worker device range, is celebrating a major milestone after shipping its 100,000 Identicom device. Identicom looks like a standard identity badge holder but incorporates mobile phone (GSM) technology, which can be used to alert security staff at an Alarm Receiving Centre, and allows them to pinpoint the worker’s location and capture valuable audio evidence. The device includes an alarm that can be triggered discreetly by a user and a lanyard attachment that enables it to be worn easily but also includes a discreet ‘rip alarm’ function, which is triggered if the unit is forcibly removed from the wearer.
