Tackling anti-social behaviour and creating active communities is the title of a Westminster Legal Policy Forum seminar.
It’s running on January 26 at the Kohn Centre, Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG.
Delegates at this seminar will consider next steps in tackling anti-social behaviour and latest thinking on key issues affecting communities.
Speakers are expected to discuss how technology – and other forms of involvement from private sector security firms – can help in the fight against anti-social behaviour and support effective policing.
Seminar
The meeting will provide an opportunity to reflect on the recently published report from Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary, Sir Denis O’Connor, Anti-social behaviour: stop the rot, and will include a keynote address from Baroness Newlove of Warrington, following her appointment as the first Government champion for active and safer communities.
Planned sessions:
Latest data on public perception of anti-social behaviour, confidence in community policing and challenges for the Big Society;
New thinking on the role of the police, multi-agency teams and partner agencies; early intervention; and the use of technology in talking anti-social behaviour;
