SASIG Winter Seminar

by msecadm4921

The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) has had to erect the ‘full’ signs on its December Seminar looking at “Information Sharing: Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere” after receiving twice as many applications as available places….

Among the speakers will be Americo Lenza, Head of Group Security Risk Management for Vodafone; Antony Mayfield, author of ‘Me and My Web Shadow: How to Manage Your Reputation Online’; Raj Samani, Chief Technology Officer EMEA, McAfee; Jeff Brooker, Director of Security and Information, HM Revenue & Customs and James Nunn-Price, Partner at Deloitte. Bringing a unique perspective to the debate will be Bafta-nominated comedian and director Bennett Arron, whose Channel 4 documentary ‘How to Steal an Identity’ for Channel 4 saw him steal the identity of former Home Secretary Charles Clarke.

Deloitte’s James Nunn-Price says: "With major incidents continuing to hit the headlines, the threat to data, and need to protect it, has never been higher. Against a backdrop of economic uncertainty, the tablet explosion, cloud computing and cost reduction, security needs to be the enabler to help business join the dots."

SASIG organiser Lisa Spriggs says: "To offer a forum that promotes both learning and sharing information from leading figures in information security has indubitably proved a winning combination. I would urge anyone with an interest in stimulating and inspirational debate to sign up to SASIG so they can receive advance information regarding all of our events."

Edited highlights of Seminar material can be accessed post-event by SASIG members on the website; to join visit www.thesasig.com. The next event will look at cyber-security and will run on March 15, 2012.
