SANYO At IFSEC

by msecadm4921

SANYO believe ‘technology’ has a key role to play in ensuring that CCTV installers can survive and even prosper during a recession. AT IFSEC 2009, SANYO are demonstrating several new technologies which provide installers with the opportunity to create new business as well as help existing customers take their CCTV systems to a higher level, according to the manufacturers.

The technology built into SANYO’s VCC-W8775P 550 TV lines colour camera utilises a new ‘retina-morphic’ processing algorithm which equips the camera with capabilities approaching that achieved by the human retina. It has been developed after research into the human retina’s dynamic range adjustment ability and provides ground breaking corrective effects which, SANYO believe, set new standards for the CCTV industry. In addition to the new ‘retina-morphic’ algorithm, the VCC-W8775P takes full advantage of a newly developed CMOS sensor which features a wide dynamic range that far surpasses conventional cameras, the firm says, as well as a built-in Digital Noise Reduction function which ensures that quality images are captured at just 0.8 lux.
SANYO’s VCC-HDN4000P is a full High Definition (HD) network camera, equipped with the world’s first 4 million pixel lens which has been matched with a 4 million pixel progressive scan sensor.

A built-in 10 x optical zoom makes the VCC-HDN4000P a solution it is claimed for banking, casino and retail type applications where there is a requirement for close up detail of any activity. A 16 x digital zoom provides the VCC-HDN4000P with a combined 160 x zoom capability.

The VCC-HDN4000P offers dual streaming of H.264 and JPEG, enabling simultaneous high definition recording and real time H.264 live monitoring across a network.

"CCTV camera technology has advanced dramatically over the last two years and customers should be able to expect CCTV camera as a minimum to be able to deliver identification grade images," said SANYO’s Doug Gwilliams. "The exciting new technologies incorporated into SANYO’s latest cameras will enable installers to deliver CCTV solutions which exceed and not just meet customers’ expectations."
