Revoked SIA Licences

by msecadm4921

The Security Industry Authority reports that the SIA website has been updated to include a List of Revoked Licences (LoRL).

The authority reports that the list contains the first name, last name, licence number, licence sector and role and licence status (suspended or revoked). The list is updated weekly.

Details on the revocation/suspension process follow this link http://www.the-sia.org.uk/home/licensing/revoked/licence_withdrawal.htm

An applicant has the right to work during the life of any appeal against a decision to revoke their licence. This means they will not appear on the LoRL until they have exhausted the appeal channels set down in the Private Security Industry Act 2001, or they fail to lodge appeal within the timeframe. Suspensions have immediate effect and an applicant cannot work during the life of an appeal against a suspension.
