Network Partners

by msecadm4921

Network video product manufacturer Axis Communications has partnered with DVTel.

DVTel’s Latitude Network Video Management System (NVMS) is being integrated with Axis’ new generation of network cameras and video servers.

Axis Communications reports that it sees integration with partners focusing on offering full integrated security and monitoring systems as critical for its widespread penetration into the large enterprise market. It is also seen as important for displacing large-scale enterprise CCTV systems over time.

DVTel describes its Latitude NVMS as a software based enterprise-level video, audio, and data management system which offers a single graphical user interface (GUI) giving monitoring, recording, and analysis.

The Latitude NVMS can be used to view live and recorded images, control camera selection, control PTZ cameras, the maker adds. It collects data from an array of sources network management systems, access control systems, building management systems, point of sale systems, perimeter alarms, and any other open architecture based system and creates actionable information based on correlating and analysing alarm and event inputs. The firm adds that the product is designed to integrate with existing access control and CCTV equipment including analogue matrices, keyboards and cameras to leverage and protect investments in legacy infrastructure and equipment. The system interfaces with network cameras, video servers, and domes, and supports multiple video compression standards including MPEG-4, MPEG-2 and M-JPEG.

Dominic Bruning, managing director, Axis Communications (UK) Limited, said: “This new relationship with DVTel is perfectly in line with our strategy to create alliances which help us increase our presence in the enterprise market.  DVTel is one of the few companies besides us with a primary focus on IP solutions.  Together, this relationship will strengthen both of our offerings and will support Axis’ continued strong growth and leadership in the IP-Surveillance market.”
