Inkerman Appoints

by msecadm4921

The Inkerman Group, the business risk, intelligence and investigation company, has appointed Nick Howard as its Head of Specialist Risk.

Howard will be responsible for the management of the company’s kidnap and ransom (K & R) products and extortion services and head up its global team.

He has almost 30 years’ law enforcement experience. Having risen to the rank of Det Supt with Lincolnshire Police, he was one of the most senior detective officers in the force dealing with national, international, serious and organised crime including homicide, kidnap and ransom, extortion, drugs and people trafficking, and has received many commendations and awards throughout his career. He also served within the National Crime Squad as Senior Detective during this time.

He was also called upon frequently to provide live operational and specialist skills to other national crime squads on a number of high profile cases, operating as senior investigating officer. More recently, these have included the successful investigation of tiger kidnap at a supermarket chain, a series of criminal vendetta kidnaps and blackmails within the North-West, with investigations initially suspected to be linked to the London bombings in July 2005. Howard is also an accredited National Crime Squad Kidnap and Extortion Controller.

What they say

"The Inkerman Group is a dynamic company, and is well placed to work with businesses providing K & R and extortion solutions and insight to help companies protect themselves and their assets from these threats", says Howard. "It’s an exciting time to join the company as they continue to build their expertise in this area and to attract and win contracts from a wide range of global companies."

"Nick is one of the top specialists in the country in this field and is very highly regarded and we are delighted that he has joined The Inkerman Group," adds Gerald Moor, CEO of The Inkerman Group. "He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the company in many areas and, as one of the country’s top hostage negotiators, he will be instrumental in growing this part of the business."
