COE Limited, developer and supplier of video surveillance systems, has completed the supply of a major upgrade to the video surveillance system for the Trinidad Library in the Caribbean.

Operated by the National Library and Information System Authority if, the Library provides online and centrally managed library services for schools and the public. The CCTV upgrade consists of 132 PTZ cameras on nine floors across the building complex transmitted back to 11 Network Video Recorders in the Operational Control centre over fibre optic cables employing COE X-Net single channel sub-miniature optical transmission system.

The system will be installed by Video Surveillance Holdings Ltd, an ISO 9001 2000 company in Trinidad and part of the CCTV Centre Ltd Group based in St Lucia, in accordance with Government requirements.

“The COE X-Net fibre optic transmission system provides us with very high quality digital links in a very small package which suits the Libraries environment where space is critical. The system diagnostic facilities are excellent for fault identification, all the way from camera to control room, enabling us to deliver the highest levels of support to our client,” said Joe Adjodha, Group CEO, CCTV Centre Ltd.

The X-Net system will form part of a new CCTV monitoring and control for the Library’s security operations. COE and CCTV Centre add that they have worked together on the design of the fibre network.
