Wirral visit for minister

by Mark Rowe

The security integrator NW Systems was visited by its local MP and Minister for Employment, Esther McVey, on Friday, March 6. Esther McVey opened NW Systems’ new IP Video Technology Suite and talked to the company’s managing director Frank Crouwel about the latest IP video technology trends. The two are pictured.

Esther McVey viewed demonstrations of some of the latest multi-megapixel High Definition (HD) network cameras – specifically seeing demonstrations of thermal imaging, intelligent video analytics, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and 360 degree camera displays in action. The new tech facility will be used to show CCTV to customers.

Frank Crouwel is promoting the idea of creating a Wirral Technology Hub, a community of technology firms thereby providing a stronger base of IT skilled people in the region and Esther is backing the idea.

Esther McVey said: “I was delighted to visit NW Systems who have evolved and grown rapidly having found a niche for themselves in the IT world. As a cutting-edge business with a pool of highly skilled people I hope they continue to lead the way and can create a technology business hub in this area.”

Frank Crouwel added: “We are very grateful for the visit from Esther to open our new IP Video Technology Suite. It is great to be recognised for our successful growth by our local MP who is closely engaged with the local business community and supports plans to bring more tech investment and jobs to Wirral.” Visit www.nwsystemsgroup.com.
