Bike 2 Work charity ride

by msecadm4921

Most of Security Foiling’s employees are now owners of a new bike under the government’s Bike 2 Work scheme. Briefly, the Government’s Green Transport Plan which aims to reduce pollution and promote healthier lifestyles but also make cycling to work a cost-effective option for employees.

Apart from cycling to work the new bikes will also be put to good use when the Ipswich-based document security  company  employees cycle 54 miles from London to Brighton in aid of Mercy Ships, the international charity that provides free medical and humanitarian care to some of the world’s poorest people.

Operations Manager, Mark Filby said: “We have a close connection to Mercy Ships. The father of one of our employees lives in Togo and has received specialist treatment on board the Africa Mercy while it was anchored off Togo last year.”

Mick Castleton, Technical Director, said: “As our fund-raising challenge for this year we chose to take on the 54 mile cycle ride from London to Brighton. Most of our staff will be taking part in the gruelling challenge on September 16. And I am very pleased that a large number of our friends and business partners have also signed up to join us on the day. All in all there will be quite a substantial number of riders in Team Security Foiling cycling to raise funds for Mercy Ships. One of our customers is traveling from Belgium to join us on the day.”
