Met chief at BRC day

by msecadm4921

Tackling Retail Crime Together is the title of the next annual BRC (British Retail Consortium) Retail Crime and Loss Prevention Conference, on October 10 at America Square Conference Centre, London.

The BRC describes its crime and loss prevention conference as a chance to hear the latest developments and discuss the challenges in a forum that brings together retail crime and loss prevention professionals, law enforcement agencies and government.

“Security and loss prevention professionals are bombarded with invitations to attend conferences this is one of the few, in my view, that should be attended for the valuable political, police and business insights that participants obtain. I think however busy, you should try to find time to attend.”

– Phillip Hagon, Head of Corporate Security, Sainsbury’s

With refreshed content and new format this year, the conference provides high level policy developments and trend updates, with interactive workshops offering practical and tactical solutions to prevent and respond to retail crime.

The 2012 speakers include Bernard Hogan-Howe, pictured, Metropolitan Police Commissioner; and Paul Broadbent, Nottinghamshire Assistant Chief Constable and National Lead for Burglary for ACPO.

Also confirmed on the speaker line up:

?Andrew Pope OBE, National Operations Manager, The Co-operative Group

?Mike Wyeth, Group Security Director March UK

?Phillip Hagon, Head of Corporate Security, Sainsbury’s
