LP software

by Mark Rowe

Jumbo Supermarkets, the Netherlands’ second largest supermarket chain, has became the latest retailer to take Sysrepublic’s SECURE loss prevention software.

Jumbo is rolling out SECURE across its 600 plus stores, including those recently acquired in its purchase of the C1000 convenience chain; to combat fraud and loss.

SECURE STORE monitors every transaction at the point of sale, alerting investigators to possible fraudulent activity or business processes that are acting against the best interests of the company. Often these are the result of conflicting product pricing or promotions, however it will also detect employee theft and fraud – immediately alerting an investigator to minimise profit loss.

Other retailers using SECURE include Tesco, Marks & Spencer, IKEA, GAP and Walmart. Jumbo’s Security Specialist, Hans Mathot, said: “We really put Sysrepublic to the test by running the solution against our data and looking for results. What differentiates SECURE STORE is the degree of control and flexibility available to Loss Prevention and Security personnel, without the need for technical expertise. Jumbo will quickly be self-sufficient, maximising the performance of our people.”

Sysrepublic recently announced that SECURE is now responsible for reviewing 67pc of retail grocery transactions conducted in the UK. For more information, visit www.sysrepublic.com .
