London forum

by Mark Rowe

Everbridge, the event management and safety software company, is hosting ‘Prepare and Protect,’, a free to attend forum in the City of London on Wednesday, June 26.

The event at the offices of Willis Towers Watson in Lime Street will cover the landscape of risk and the audience will comprise over 100 organisations representing the FTSE 500 and UK public services.

The day will feature two keynote speakers. Will Geddes is the CEO and Founder of the International Corporate Protection (ICP) Group, whose experience spans 25 years. He has been involved in specialist security advising corporate, government and private clients across the world and has managed and tactically responded to crises and international events from environmental disasters to emergency evacuations in multiple, often high-risk locations.

And John Ludlow is Chief Executive of Airmic, an association for risk management and insurance decision makers. John was SVP and head of global risk management at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) after five years of senior operational leadership roles in the hospitality industry.

Other companies presenting and on the panels at the event include: ASIS UK; National Bank of Kuwait; Guys & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust; Willis Towers Watson; International SOS and Control Risks and AON. The morning and afternoon panel sessions will be moderated by Everbridge.

The organisers say the focus will be the many critical events which disrupt daily operations and put the safety of an organisation’s people, as well as their business assets, supply chain and brand reputations, at risk.

“The threat landscape is almost constantly shifting, which makes it very hard for businesses to accurately weigh the implications for their own employees,” said Kirsty Grant, Marketing Manager at Everbridge. “This event will shed light on the most prevalent threats, but more importantly will provide practical, informed advice about what organisations can do to ensure they are prepared with an operational resilience plan.”
