The guard contractor GSL Dardan provided overnight security guards to protect the East of England Co-Op exhibition and hospitality stand from theft and vandalism at the three shows – The Royal Norfolk Show, Colchester Food and Drink Festival and the Suffolk Show.
During the day, front of house event staff were provided, meeting and greeting members of the public and maintaining an exceptional level of security. Also, the event staff were also required to ensure the safety of the East of England Co-Op executives and stakeholders while ensuring everyone had an enjoyable day. The guard contractor points out that East of England Co-Op will only use approved specialist retail personnel for their events, highlighting the service provided by the GSL Dardan retail security division.
Jamie Treloar, Security Manager for the East of England Co-Op, said: “We would like to convey our appreciation to all the security guards who worked at the Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex shows over the summer. Their assistance and co-operation was exemplary representing true ambassadors of your Department and to the general public.”
The Norwich-based guard firm operates 17 security patrol and response vehicles from offices in Norwich, Ipswich, Peterborough, Cambridge, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Kings Lynn and Leiston.
