Charity football match sponsor

by Mark Rowe

Foremost Security, the Nottingham-based security contractors, are sponsoring the Lullaby Trust in a charity football match against former Notts County players, at Dunkirk Football Club in the city on Sunday, August 13, at 2pm.

Lullaby Trust offers advice on safer sleep for babies, emotional support for bereaved families and raises awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Christopher Hampson and his wife lost their daughter five years ago to SIDS. They’ve been fundraising for the past four and a half years, starting with Christopher completing the three peaks challenge. He says: “When I was thinking of fundraising ideas, I thought I’d try the local football clubs to see if they’d give us a game. To date we’ve played Derby County, Notts County, Leicester City, Birmingham City, Arsenal, Swansea and Cardiff City. This will be the first time we’ve had corporate sponsorship for the match. Hopefully we can build a great relationship with Foremost Security and work together again in the future.”

Business Development Manager at Foremost Security, Matt Prince, has played in the Lullaby Trust team before, against Derby County and Leicester City. This time he is taking a seat on the bench, and managing the corporate sponsorship instead. He says: “I’ve known Chris for a number of years and when I first heard about The Lullaby Trust it was something I wanted to be involved and show my support. Having played in two football matches and ran the Leicester 10k in April for the Trust we discussed as a business of other ways to show our support. We really hope that our support will help raise the profile of the Lullaby Trust across the East Midlands”

All money raised from the players will go towards the charity. Tickets for the match will be sold on the day and there will be no set price as those attending can donate what they wish.

The Lullaby Trust team will also be playing against Leicester City in October. Go to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Chloe-hampson to donate.
