Shopping car park payment

by Mark Rowe

A parking equipment manufacturer has won a contract to provide its products at two car parks serving the Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter city centre.

ParkAdvance is described by its makers WPS as a pay-on-foot system for shopping centres; with a new IP-based operating system architecture that enables the parking system to connect with multiple technologies being deployed in car parks. The systems installed in Princesshay, and its attendant car park in Summerland Gate, are both managed by car park operators NCP.

Simon Jarvis, Managing Director of WPS in the UK, says: “ParkAdvance is, in effect, future proof, and its reliability and durability is such that it provides a safe, long-term investment for any potential purchaser wishing to operate and manage single or multiple sites.”

Princesshay, pictured, is a joint venture partnership between The Crown Estate and TIAA Henderson Real Estate.
