Sandwell lone workers

by Mark Rowe

A Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council case study of their new lone worker device for front-line staff.

Geoff Deakin (Local Communities Team Operational Manger), one of the council officers tasked with bringing in a lone worker service, said of VC LoneWorker: “I would like to ask you, to pass on the thanks from all my staff, to your monitoring staff, for the most impressive and courteous way they have assisted us all in using our new Identicom badge holders. For your records it is worth noting that I have received nothing but praise from my staff regarding the way in which they have been assisted in using this new piece of equipment.”

Sandwell chose Voice Connect’s managed and hosted lone worker system and supplied staff with Identicom cards. Staff in the mobility shops and community centre support workers have been the first to use the products. About Voice Connect: visit www.voiceconnect.co.uk.
