Pharma office install

Intercept Pharma Europe Ltd, a biopharmaceutical company, sought a security system for its offices in central London. The Buckinghamshire-based installation company Evolution started by conducting a survey and audit of the premises and existing systems, and reported with recommendations on immediate and future actions.

One of the first recommendations was to create a security policy document detailing the physical security processes and procedures required to maintain the safety and security of staff and visitors. The document formalised procedures on the transfer of data, and supported the pharma firm’s compliance to GDPR rules on data protection. Evolution also oversaw the servicing and integration of the stand-alone access control and CCTV systems, creating a combined solution that with a single point of contact.

Steve Lambden, Facilities Manager at Intercept Pharma Europe Ltd, says: “Evolution’s attention to detail and level of accountability has been outstanding, and the way in which it is further developing the relationship to support us has exceeded my expectations. The technical advice, project management and comprehensive risk analysis and support, as well as training, has provided us with a structure to the way we view and seek to improve the security of our building and assets.”

Other equipment has been recommended, installed and integrated where required. Steve adds: “Following Evolution’s in-depth assessment, it was clear that we had an obvious blind spot in the reception area, which is often occupied by visitors, so it was important that we quickly addressed this issue with additional CCTV to provide this essential additional coverage.

“Evolution also identified our server room which houses our CCTV head end as potentially vulnerable and will be fitting a more robust door locking system integrated into the access control system to increase security.”

Evolution provided Intercept with training to make best use of the access control and CCTV installed. The client also now has access to online tutorials and tools to refresh knowledge.

Steve adds: “The training that Evolution provided was in-depth and engaging. The online tutorials are extremely useful in situations where we are unsure on a particular issue. Evolution has demonstrated excellent project management throughout and provided us with ongoing support; there is always someone personable and knowledgeable at the other end of the phone should we need them.”
