Murder site first

by msecadm4921

The first UK police murder investigation website has been launched to help find Alan Wood’s killers. The aims of the site are to give as many people as possible the chance to look at the details of the case and to provide an easy way for the public to give officers information. Visit www.alanwoodmurder.com.

Lincolnshire Police say that although many forces have launched Facebook pages appealing for information on serious crimes, this is the first time a whole website dedicated to one murder investigation has been built.

Alan Wood was murdered at his home in the rural Hamlet of Lound, near Bourne, in October 2009.

Det Supt Stuart Morrison said: “The aim of this website is to keep the appeal for information on Alan’s killers in the public domain and to provide people with an easy and accessible way of reporting things to us.

“It is designed to give visitors an overview of the whole case and a chance to review the main evidence and appeal points.

“We want people in this country and people living abroad to study the investigation details, particularly the CCTV images of the suspect and call us if they think the can help us.”
