Communal door access control

by Mark Rowe

As a supplier of communal door access control products, KMS was asked to provide Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council with communal door access control for their supported living properties for people over 55; and those over 50 with specific medical conditions.

The council wanted to make the independent living accommodation as easy as possible for the residents; and be able to check residents had entered into buildings for safety reasons. KMS SimpleKey Web is a cloud-based system which can be accessed from any device connected to the internet allowing the building managers to add or delete lost fobs. Doors can be remotely opened if required. Residents’ fobs can also be programmed for access through specific communal doors; and the council can then see the access events of the doors controlled.

Mitchell Bardsley at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council says: “The KMS SimpleKey Web solution has met all our needs for our Independent living programme, helping make it easier for residents to gain access and at the same time helps us provide a safer, more secure living environment.”
