Josh Elliott for Snetterton

Tyco BMW will again field former National Superstock 1000cc champion Josh Elliott in the class this weekend, aboard the TAS Racing prepared S1000RR. Elliott returned for what looked like a one-off appearance at Knockhill a fortnight ago, and secured a strong fifth place in the opening race at the Scottish venue, but is delighted to be back in the Tyco BMW squad for Snetterton this weekend.

Fermanagh based Josh Elliott said: “I really enjoyed being back in with the Tyco boys at Knockhill and despite Sunday maybe not going according to plan in race two, I was pretty pleased with my pace not having ridden for almost eight months in Saturday’s race.

“I have great memories from Snetterton, where I secure one of my best ever wins in the class, ironically in my championship season in 2015, beating Alastair Seeley on the Tyco BMW after a last lap battle – so I’ll be traveling to Norfolk, aiming to push the Tyco BMW close to the front, where the goal will be to fight for the podium,”

Team manager Philip Neill added: “Knockhill was a tough weekend for us as a team and now just two weeks later, we are back to having a full complement of young riders in all classes, so it’s been an exciting and busy week for us. Josh did well at Knockhill and he can build on that at Snetterton, and with more track time I’m confident he can show the Tyco BMW at the sharp end of the Superstock 1000cc class this weekend.”
