IFSEC 2019 continues

by Mark Rowe

IFSEC 2019 continues with its strategy of ‘for the industry, by the industry’, to create the security industry hub for the year, delivered with the BSIA, the British Security Industry Association.

The 2019 event is proud to be driven forward by its partnerships with the SSAIB, NSI, FSA, Association of Security Consultants and the Security Institute, as well as Professional Security Magazine, IFSEC’s core security media partner. In the run up to IFSEC you can’t move for hearing what’s happening at the event! It’s why you can expect to see over 27,000 installers, integrators, resellers, consultants, end users and manufacturers, who will all be discovering security solutions at IFSEC 2019.

IFSEC is also proud to host the UK Government Pavilion, which includes representation from the Home Office and JSaRC, Department of International Trade, Defence & Security Organisation (DSO) and the British Transport Police (BTP).

It is with these partners and influencers that we co-create key features to build the security event that the industry needs. At IFSEC you’ll find:

The Keynote Arena (pictured, June 2018): Centrepiece of the show, featuring presentations from security influencers
The Converged Security Centre hosted by Vidsys: See converged security information management (CSIM) in real time
The LPCB Attack Testing Zone: Returning to showcase the very best in physical and perimeter security solutions as demonstrated through live tests by our partners from BRE Global/LPCB
The Future of Security Theatre: Hosted by our education partner, Tavcom, this theatre features insights about future security solutions

All this combines to make the IFSEC International experience entirely unique. It’s the global hub for all the energy and innovation of the security industry, with three days of focused and productive conversation at the industry’s cutting edge. The event remains fixed on the future. It demonstrates to visitors where the biggest developments are happening and helps them set their security agenda for the year ahead.

At IFSEC International, the industry and the market are drawn together by a shared aim of meeting big security challenges and making the world a safer place. If you’re serious about security, you need to be a part of IFSEC International, on Tuesday to Thursday, June 18 to 20 2019 at ExCeL London.

Mike Reddington – CEO, BSIA says: ‘’Having recently joined the BSIA as the new CEO I am delighted the BSIA will once again have a major presence at IFSEC 2019. The BSIA has a long and rewarding relationship with IFSEC which provides us with the opportunity to showcase the association’s prowess in representing the professional security industry. IFSEC has an unrivalled prominence in the security sector which comes from its rich history and our partnership is strategically important for the advancement of best practice in security.’’

Roy Cooper – Managing Director, Professional Security Magazine says: “We love IFSEC, it’s where we get to see everyone, catch up on all the news and make sure we’re on the right tracks with our magazine. We have a great relationship with the IFSEC team who mutually support us on all our regional ST19 events throughout the year. It’s a terrific partnership that works very well for both parties.’’

Steve Martin – Director of Technical, Fire & Security Association says: “We’re always eager to be part of IFSEC and FIREX each year as they represent core opportunities for installers to come together to source the very latest security and fire products as well as take in exclusive learning opportunities and updates on the latest technologies. Both shows have well established histories and always attract high quality, world class exhibitors.’’

Alex Carmichael – CEO, SSAIB says: “As it’s the SSAIB’s 25th anniversary, we’re using our presence at this year’s IFSEC to celebrate in style at the SSAIB Bar, officially sponsored by RISCO. We’ll be welcoming all our colleagues to what is the UK’s and Europe’s most prominent security event. We’ll see you all there!’’

Richard Jenkins – Chief Executive, NSI says: “This year our relationship with IFSEC has evolved creating an even closer connection between our two organisations. The IFSEC team is organising our annual NSI Summit for approved companies, on March 21 at The Vox in Birmingham. We look forward to spending valuable time with industry colleagues old and new at these two high profile events dedicated to the security industry.”
