The Hornsea-based hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) manufacturer Heald Ltd has seen its MD, Debbie Heald, crowned the winner in the ‘Family Company Director of the Year’ category at the IoD Yorkshire and North East Regional Awards. The event at a black-tie ceremony at the Principal Hotel in York was on July 5.
In a shortlist of three businesses – the other two being Graeme Hall from Brandon Medical and Tim Payne from The Clinkard Group, Debbie Heald won as the best Family Company Director in the region. She was also shortlisted in the Director of the Year (SME) and International Director of the Year categories.
Debbie will now compete against other regional winners at the National Director of the Year Finals, which is due on September 22, at the London Lancaster Hotel.
Debbie said: “I was thrilled to have been shortlisted for three IoD awards, and feel honoured to have won the Family Company Director of the Year category. It was an excellent night and I cannot wait for the national awards in September. I would also like to pass on my congratulations to the other winners.”
